..Imperfect *

I am not perfect-nobody is! All of us have flaws-we all do! But we must learn to love ourselves despite of our “imperfections.”

I sometimes ask myself on the mistakes that I have made and put myself down. "I always cry."  “I am always sick.” " I have failed so many times" "My plans didn't come my way" but thinking again and again .. Sometimes I was being so hard on myself !

Certainly there may be things in my life that I was not happy about; and there are some habits that I need to break. I have many mistakes done in my past but I learned to focus and remember that regardless of these flaws that I had, God is not finished with me yet. In every mistake that I had I know it is a part of the process of God changing me.

Through out our lives, God is continually shaping and molding us into people He wants us to be. Each of us are going through our own journey and we should not be discouraged about our past or present while we are in the process of being "completed."

Each of us has great value. What we have to do is to stop dwelling on our faults and give ourselves a break. Every person has his own weaknesses. "We may think there is a lot wrong with us, but there is also a lot right with us."

“We may think we’ve got a long way to go, but we need to look back at how far we’ve already come. We may not be everything of who we want to be, but at least we can thank God that we’re not what we used to be.”

"No matter how difficult my life is now..I am blessed..I believe all these pains will surely pass and God will fulfill His promises in my life in His time"

  1. I'm sorry I haven't commented in so long, but as you kno wI have had several issues and haven't really been on blogger. I think we are all guilty of beating ourselves up at some points, I think often when we listen to the internal dialogue in our heads it can be really awful! I think if we were all a bit kinder to ourselves it would make so much difference. Thank you for the inspiration Sie big hugs xxxx

    1. Hello sis Bonnie..I miss you ;)

I know sis and as what I have said on your site..knowing you're ok is more than enough for me..I know like me our lives have been tough these times but I know both of us will make it through and see our prayers be answered one day ;)

On nights that I feel so alone..oftentimes it has been a battle for me not to listen to myself because yes like what you have said internal dialogue can be really awful..the only thing that's left for me is to HOPE and TRUST in God..to listen to His promises..thank you for your visit ;)

  2. So true Sie! We become our worst critics sometimes and demoralize ourselves by thinking of our flaws. We have to accept ourselves, work through our shortcomings and make the best of what we have.

I agree with your thoughts here. I know how difficult it gets when we entrap ourselves between the perfect image we have of ourselves and the actual personality of ours. We have to get a grip and stop self loathing for what we aren't.

Very insightful post Sie. Lesson learnt and accepted by me.

    Take care! ^◡^

    1. You have said it right Sui..I agree we have to accept ourselves and make the best out of we have..to see that we are still blessed when we have shortcomings in our lives..I have been through a lot but I learned to be thankful because I have still a reason to smile..having another day with my love ones is more than enough to let me hold on and fight the battle that I am in now..

I am imperfect but through my imperfections I learned to be stronger and let my life be a testimony to other people..there is always HOPE no matter how hard our situations maybe..one day I'll have my own share of true happiness ;) thank you for your visit ;)

  3. Sie.. I feel exactly the same dear! Never regret whatever happens, it's not our fault.. I'm sure God wants us to learn and change ourselves for better. Our life is a journey, and there are lots of things to learn, to share and to give ;) *hugs*

  4. You are right Sie, I think we too often see our imperfections, point out our weaknesses. It is through them we learn and improve. Without them, we would be lost, what would we do if we were to be perfect really???
We should look at our strengths and our qualities, be kinder to ourselves. We are as God made us. Celebrating who we are is being thankful to God.

Happiness will come...........as my mum always say, the earth turns always and everyone enjoys night and day, as well as rain and sun. It is the same with hardships and happiness.

    xxxxxxx and a beautiful day!

  6. When we are young, we are always trying to be perfect. I think that's good, in a way. It's only when we're older than we realize that we can't be perfect in everything and in every way and to be able to accept that -- that's maturity. It shows that we've grown. And, it's also part of self-love that God wants us to have.

Happy to read you sis. *hugs*

    1. Hello Ate Asni..your right and as what they say we can't have everything..accepting and realizing that we are imperfect and weak in some ways is one way of being mature and just letting Him be in control of everything because He knows what's perfect for us ;)

thank you for your visit *hugs* ;)

  7. Yes imperfections are a part of our life...but if we believe that there are too many imperfections, we may lose courage. The key is to believe and know you're going to be good. Staying +ve always helps! :)

  11. That starting sentence of yours is so true on nobody's perfect. We all make mistakes and suppose we should, I mean seriously we should learn from it. God is always there to forgive us for our mistakes and surely he gives us plenty of chance to correct those we made and not to make it again, esp hurting others.

  16. God is not finished with us yet. So true. Our difficulties, struggles, trials, problems are not there to destroy us. Rather it's there to push us to our better selves. Neither are 'mistakes' the enemy in our lives. Looking beyond that you will see that those mistakes have in some special way pushed you to a higher plane of understanding, awareness and wisdom. So in a way 'mistakes' are friends on your road to self-knowledge and growth. God has a reason for everything in our lives. What we need to do is pray for understanding and discernment to recognize it and pluck out the lessons put there for our learning.

By the way, love it everytime you come by visiting in the blog. :-)
Blessings to you and your children. God loves you.

God has a reason for everything..and I also believe Ms.Ellen all of these trials that are happening in my life now..each has it's own purpose..I may cry and appear a weak link in front of my relatives but looking at myself now I am stronger..I may not be rich as them and I may be judged of my mistakes but I know I am valuable in God's eyes..

I am usually hurt of them dictating of what I should do in my life..it is easy for them because they have not gone through what my kids and I had..they have heard my story but they never experienced my pains..

God is not finished with me yet..I know God has the best for me and my kids..like olives I need to be crushed to produce the best oil Ms.Ellen..I believe I am on the pruning process now and He is also removing every bad thorns on my path..

Thank you Ms. Ellen *hugs* ;)

  18. Very well said sis! I used to worry too much about what other people think of me or why Im not more like the next person.Always thinking focusing on my flaws etc. Im glad that ive realised that life is too short to be spent this way & God has a plan & purpose for us. - it' good in a way to recognize one's shortcomings & try to improve thses but more importantly we should start to live life and enjoy the gifts that were given to us =)
Hope you're having a good week sis =) xoxo

I was also into worrying on what people would say before that's why I ended up pretending and hiding my real self..but time came when all that's left is for me to fight back and expose my true self for my kids..I was afraid that many people will judge of my decision of having a broken home but as a Mom I prioritized the safety of my kids..

You are right sis life is too short so it would be best to focus our time on spending time and sharing love with whom we have now..Have a good week to sis Krizzy and I'll be waiting for those birthday posts ;)

Thanks for the reminder that we are not perfect. Oftentimes, I'm too hard on myself, that I fail to realize that things are ok the way they are...that I'm ok the way I am.

I like what you said... that instead of thinking about how much further we have to go, we should think about how far we've already gone.

I especially love these lines, they are so beautiful:
"God is not finished with me yet. In every mistake that I had I know it is a part of the process of God changing me."

God is continuously molding and cleansing us so that we will be fit to enter His Kingdom. Saka eto pa, sis -- God loves us unconditionally and He appreciates every small good deed that you do.

  27. Sometimes, our best critic is ourselves. While that helps check our pride and our ego, it also doesn't do much for our self-esteem. We'll always be imperfect. But our imperfections only give us more space to grow towards our perfect state. Great post!
