Tested By Fire

In October 1991, a firestorm destroyed 2,500 homes in the vicinity of Oakland California. When the devastated owners returned and went through the black debris, they found that all the possessions had been reduced to soot. But a little girl discovered a tiny porcelain vase. She marveled at it and wondered how this fragile object had survived. The other survivors of the catastrophe also found pottery and porcelain items that had somehow defied the firestorm.

“How did those pottery and porcelain items survived”?

Because those things passed through the fire once before.

Can the fiery trials of life actually prove to be a blessing?

Based on my true-life experiences? “Yes it can” :)

I have been into struggles in my life and believe me they are major painful ones. But I always put it in mind that trials come and go in our lives but how do we respond to it? Will we stay on one corner of our room and be condemned forever, or will we treat every trial that comes as a challenge to do better. Every individual can’t escape from the trials of life, each and one of us has a journey that we have to go through. What matters most is on how we face these trials and overcome it.

Fiery trials may be very painful, but if by God’s grace we endure them. Our faith can emerge from the blazing furnace purer and stronger than it was before.

“When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, Never Give Up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.”

“Fire refines gold; Adversity refines man”
